YUKISEIMITSU AUDIO

EVOLUTION

YUKI Precision Co., Ltd.

1950

Saburo Otsubo founded Otsubo Screw Manufacturing in Honson, Chigasaki.

The company started as a small screw factory. Back then, we focused on producing tiny screws for use in communication equipment and similar devices. We machined them using a lathe—a machine that rotates parts—and employed various handmade tools to achieve diverse shapes.
We produced products with such high precision that it was hard to believe they were made by hand.

1961

Relocated to Yahata, Chigasaki City and established Yuki Precision Industries Co., Ltd.

The company name has been changed to Yuki Precision Industries Co., Ltd.

1982

NC Automatic Loading System Implementation

By the 1980s, the era of NC [numerical control] automatic lathes arrived, replacing cam-type automatic lathes. NC automatic lathes did not require creating dedicated cams when switching products; instead, they produced various shapes by rewriting the program.
While they couldn’t match cam-type automatic lathes in terms of the time required to machine a single part, they held an overwhelming advantage when considering design flexibility and setup speed. Yuki Precision switched all its automatic lathes to NC by the mid-1990s.

1991

Technological Innovation and Production System Transformation

In 1991, we introduced NC machining centers, achieving process consolidation and high-precision machining. Following the collapse of the IT bubble in 2001, we shifted from mass production to high-mix low-volume production, steering our course toward orders for high-value-added components.

2006

Launch of the Development Department

In addition to our existing precision component machining, we have established a mechanical design department to meet the challenging demands of manufacturers and research institutions.
Currently, all product development for YUKISEIMITSU AUDIO is conducted within this design department. The fusion of precision machining technology and design expertise enables us to create truly unique audio equipment.
